Ambient Lighting Activation for the 2023+ Range Rover Sport / Velar / Discovery
Share
For many owners, it’s surprising that a vehicle costing over $100,000 can still lack features that come standard in far less expensive models. Land Rover has a long history of packaging desirable options into high-priced upgrade bundles — and the configurable ambient lighting system is no exception.
Not Standard Equipment
On the Range Rover Sport, ambient lighting is not included on base specifications. It’s bundled into the Extended Leather Upgrade Pack (approx. $2,500), which means many vehicles leave the factory without it enabled—even though the lighting hardware is present.
Activation Overview
OEM Activations can enable ambient lighting on supported 2023+ Range Rover Sport / Velar / Discovery models by updating the vehicle’s Car Configuration File (CCF). Once activated, the system integrates seamlessly into the Pivi Pro menu, giving you:
- A full color palette of 30 lighting options
- Brightness control and zone adjustment
- Automatic drive mode synchronization (Dynamic)
The process is entirely software-based, non-invasive, and preserves full OEM functionality — no additional wiring or hardware modification required.
