Our settings database provides ready-to-apply feature configurations. GAP provides CCF editing, including tested and untested settings; its workflow differs from our supplied configurations.
GAP advertises separately purchased aftermarket tuning delivered through IIDTool. This comparison distinguishes OEM factory power upgrades from those aftermarket tuning services. GAP also supports configuration backup and restoration, diagnostics, suspension adjustments and module flashing, with coverage depending on the vehicle, tool and licensing.
Remote coding refers to a provider-operated session. It does not give you self-service access to restore stock, recode features, read or clear fault codes, or adjust suspension. Those operations require the provider or a separate tool; available upgrades, equipment, repeat-session charges and flashing support vary. This comparison does not promise free or unlimited reflashing.
OEM Activations uses a compatible Mac or Windows laptop and OBD ENET cable. No dedicated proprietary coding tool is required.
