Turns on the in-car Wi-Fi hotspot using the vehicle's existing data connection, so phones, tablets and laptops can share it. The modem is already fitted; this activates the hotspot function.

Do I need a separate data plan?

The hotspot uses the vehicle's own connection. You'll need active data on the car, either through the JLR plan or a SIM where the vehicle supports one.
