D200 Power Upgrade

D165 diesel unlocked to the factory D200 calibration

The 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel is sold in D165 and D200 outputs across the Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque and F-Pace. Nothing mechanical differs between them. The output is set by the factory calibration, and this upgrade activates the D200 calibration your engine already carries.

It's the factory calibration rather than a tune, so the engine keeps its factory behaviour and the upgrade stays in place through dealer visits and over-the-air updates. Power upgrades come bundled with Unlimited feature coding. Enter your VIN to see your exact price.

Common questions

Is this a tune or a flash?

Neither. Your engine control module already contains the higher-output calibration from the factory. We don't write a new map or modify any software. We activate the calibration that's already there, the same way JLR does when they build the D200 version of your car.

Is it safe for my engine?

Yes. The D165 and D200 use the same engine with the same internals. JLR built the hardware to run the highest output and set the lower ones in software. You're running the engine at an output it was designed, tested and warranted for.

Does it affect my warranty?

No software is altered, so there's nothing for a dealer to detect or flag. The car runs a the factory calibration on factory hardware. We've done this on well over a thousand vehicles and have never had a warranty issue reported back to us.

Will a dealer visit or an over-the-air update undo it?

No. Because the calibration is a factory setting rather than a patch, service visits and software updates leave it in place.

Can I go back to stock?

Yes, at any time. The original calibration is never removed, so switching back is the same process in reverse.

Can I buy the power upgrade on its own?

Power upgrades come bundled with Unlimited feature coding, since it's the same activation. Your VIN result shows the combined price.
