Advanced Tow Assist takes the guesswork out of reversing a trailer. You point the Terrain Response dial where you want the trailer to go and the vehicle handles the steering, with guidance on the camera view. It uses the rear camera and parking sensors your vehicle already has.

Do I need the factory tow bar?

Yes, you need a factory tow bar installed with the factory module.
