D200 • D250 • D300 → D350 Power Upgrade: Everything You Need to Know
Share
Land Rover’s 3.0L Ingenium diesel engines—D200, D250, D300, and D350—share the same hardware.
The differences come from software calibrations controlling boost, torque limits, injection maps, and thermal strategy. Because the engines are mechanically identical, D200/D250/D300 models can be upgraded safely to full D350 output using OEM-level programming.
This upgrade improves acceleration, towing, throttle response, and overall drivability across Defender, Discovery, and Range Rover models.
Engine Overview
All variants use the same:
- 3.0L Ingenium I6 diesel
- Twin-turbo + electric supercharger
- 48V MHEV system
- Fuel system & internals
- ZF 8HP automatic transmission
Factory Output
| Model | Power | Torque |
|---|---|---|
| D200 | 200 hp | 369 lb-ft |
| D250 | 249 hp | 443 lb-ft |
| D300 | 300 hp | 479 lb-ft |
| D350 | 350 hp | 516 lb-ft |
After upgrade:
D200, D250, and D300 engines deliver D350-level performance with OEM reliability.
